High student interest increases college sustainability programs

According to a new article in USA Today, ue to increased growth in “green” jobs and interests in environmental studies, college students who want a career in sustainability have a large variety of “green” degree programs to choose from, such as more technical education to operate machinery or interdisciplinary MBAs.

University of California Boosts Green Building and Food Service Standards

Cervantes and ASCC officers presented the class gift, a check for $40,000 to the Governing Board. This gift was a contribution from the students to support Chaffey College's commitment to the environment and the green movement. Two students, Tamira Hopkins and Jacob Godinez authored a resolution explaining their requests for use of the gift. The students are dedicated to linking their vission to that of the faculty and college administration in making the college more "green."
